Safer Parking Plus is a comprehensive assessment which demonstrates the highest quality of today's modern car parks in services, operations, design and build. To achieve the award car parks must demonstrate a wide range of responsibilities, which include:

  • Low crime and measures in place to ensure the safety of people and vehicles
  • Meeting the Safer Parking Accessible criteria for disabled parking bays
  • Structural integrity, such as a life care plan, the condition of windows, doors and lifts
  • Environmental credentials, such as a car sharing initiative, motorcycle and bicycle parking, green spaces
  • Good management and operations, such as a customer charter, ANPR, help points, a range of payment options
  • Exemplary customer experience, such as wider bays, family friendly facilities, mobile phone coverage, car valeting

Safer Parking Plus informs current and potential customers of the highest standards in all aspects of the parking experience and enables operators and providers to show the value of their parking services.
